Some people ask "how can you work at home?"
2 answers.
1. when you work for yourself, it's easy to stay motivated
2. but here's the real value.
If average commute is, say, 40 minutes. That's 80 minutes per day, 5 days per week, 50 weeks per year.
That's 266 hours per year or roughly 33 working days that I gain each year. An extra 1.5 months per year. Assume same efficiency as office (that's being generous).
After 9 years of working at home, I have a full extra year's worth of productivity compared to my alter-ego/commuter self.
Talk about compounded interest.
And if the commute, round trip, is 1 hour, that is 62.5 working days per year.
