Natural Beauty-- Epsteins in New England

Today, we took some time to appreciate the natural beauty of the region.  Our first stop was Lyman Orchards outside of Hartford where we picked raspberries and strawberries in an absolutely beautiful setting.

A great business if you ask me. Instead of paying people to pick fruit, you pay to pick the fruit.  I need to figure out how to replicate that!

Afterward, we made our way out of Connecticut and into New York where we will be for the rest of the trip.

We arrived in Poughkeepsie and walked halfway across the Hudson on what is apparently the world's longest elevated pedestrian footbridge.

It was a majestic day as we surveyed the Hudson Valley and we took the opportunity to talk about the historic importance of waterways, steamboats, the Erie Canal and trade/commerce.
